As we begin our break for the Thanksgiving holiday, the Friends of Alice Birney Elementary are reflecting on all the things that we are thankful for. We are so grateful for this school, which is a gem in our community; where our kids are taught and molded to be future citizens of the world, empowered and given the tools to make a difference and make the world a better place for us all; where they are safe to learn and explore who they are and what they can do. We are humbly thankful for the funds that we are able to raise against our greatest fears to provide a very special program to our children that exposes them to deeper language, art, agricultural skills, and so much more! We are so grateful for our teachers, staff and administration who give up so much of their own time and spirit to be there for our students. And we are most appreciative of this community and the many parents and relatives who volunteer every moment they can spare and every bit of talent that they can offer to continue providing for the future of this amazing school.
