This month in Garden class Ms. Mindy and the 2nd Graders were learning about symmetry in the garden. They created symmetrical designs using various objects found in the garden. After completing their designs, the students did a “Gallery Walk” to view all the other creations.

The Gallery Walk ended with a celebratory snack of a symmetrical citrus mandala. Art, creativity, breaking from the traditional classroom to connect with nature, and healthy, student-designed snacks – what a gift Mindy and our garden program are to our students!
