November Spotlight on Specials

This month in Spanish class Birney students were doing a variety of activities depending on their grade level.  Just as in their regular classes, Specials teachers always tie their lessons into the IB Units unless, of course, they are celebrating a special tradition specific to the subject as the 3rd and 5th graders both did this month in honor of Dia de Muertos.

—————————————————The 5th graders did a traditional art project called Papel Picado.

———————————————–The 3rd graders made drawings inspired by traditional azulejos (tiles) showing pets or loved ones they’d lost doing activities they enjoyed while alive.

————————————————-First grade students learned body parts and Head Shoulders Knees and Toes in Spanish.

A huge thank you to Sra. Goudy for all she does for our kids!
