10th Annual Big Give

A quality education is one of the greatest gifts we can give future generations! Join us next Tuesday, December 15th, as Friends of Alice Birney hosts the 10th Annual Big Give! This one-day donation drive will raise much needed funds for Specials Classes (Garden, Spanish, and Art), IB certification, and teacher training. Our IB program is what differentiates Birney from other elementary schools and has led Birney to recognition as a “California Distinguished School” and Business Roundtable “Honors School.” Last year Birney also received the “Quality Schools in Every Neighborhood” Award for closing its achievement gap! We need the support of families, local organizations, neighborhood businesses, and neighbors to keep these award-winning programs available for all 530 students at Birney!
The maintenance of this program is $275 a year per student.
That is about $1.50 a day per student!
The concept for this fundraiser is simple! On Tuesday the 15th go to the Friends of Alice Birney website between the hours of 7AM to 7PM, click on the Big Give link, and make your donation. That’s it! Then continue to watch the site as donations come in to see if we meet our goal. Our goal this year is to raise $35,000 and to increase our donor base to 200 individual donors. Help us make that goal, and get your tax deductible donations in before the year ends! If we all contribute, we can collectively make a difference and fund incredible educational opportunities at Birney!
