RUN FOR THE GREEN
10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
March 17, 2017

IT IS OUR LAST WEEK! GO TEAM GREEN!

It’s the final week, Birney Bees, and we are so proud of all the students who have worked as a team to reach our $28,000 goal. Last week we raised $4613.46 to support our amazing Spanish, Art, and Garden programs. Congrats to Rooms 21, 208, 306, B17, 26, and 27 for winning extra recess this week! GO BIRNEY BEES!There’s no reason to wait, please make your donation now to help your child qualify to win some of our amazing prizes, including Harbor tour passes, lots of gift cards, lots of museum passes, a family membership to the Natural History Museum, a Loog guitar, Seal Tour trolley passes, UTC Ice passes, Rockin Jump Trampoline Park passes, and more, including our grand prize, the Amazon Kindle Fire with UNICEF Power Band.

All donations must be received by Monday, March 20th to count towards T-shirt and opportunity prize ticket totals. Be sure to submit your sponsorship form with your T-shirt sizes this week. Just $65 per student gets us to our goal and earns your child a commemorative 10th Anniversary Run for the Green t-shirt. $100 in donations garners a second adult-sized T-shirt.

Bring your noisemakers and your enthusiasm and help us cheer on all our students on Friday, March 17th at 2:30PM! We need volunteers to keep our runners happy and hydrated; sign up here. We’re also planning a great after-party you won’t want to miss; details are coming later this week.

When we work together, we can move mountains, so surpassing our $8,000 left is within reach. Go TEAM GREEN!

*Please be sure to put your student’s name in the “special instructions” section so they can get credit*

Through the years, the “green” in Run for the Green has come to represent much more than its St. Patrick’s Day origins. Our International Baccalaureate program provides our students with an award-winning garden program that is the only one of its kind in the district. It also gives our kids enrichment in art and Spanish. These elements are tied in to a well-crafted curriculum that flows into every part of their day, teaching them to reach their highest potential. Being a Title 1 school with a very diverse spectrum of students, the IB Program provides educational opportunities that many students may not otherwise receive.

We appreciate all support be it through volunteering your time, spreading the word to your community, or financial support. This year we hope to raise $28,000 as part of our $101,000 goal.
